Future Skin would like to congratulate you on your new tattoo! To take care of your new tattoo you will need to purchase aveeno unscented and follow the recommended aftercare. Touch ups if needed should be scheduled after two months. The healing process is approximately six to eight weeks long.
TATTOO AFTERCARE
Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo.
Always wash your hands before applying your aveeno hand lotion.
FIRST 48 HOURS
Wash your tattoo gently with unscented soap rinse in the shower and remove any expelled ink and blood plasma from the tattoo. Do not let the shower spray hit your tattoo directly. Let the water hit above the tattooed area so that it will cascade over the tattoo. To help protect your tattoo from the shower spray, apply a thin layer of aveeno. Do not rub vigorously. Pat dry with a fresh towel to avoid any transfer of bacteria. Reapply a thin layer of aveeno. Continue to apply aveeno frequently so your tattoo does not dry out.Do not cover back the tattoo with anything,let it air out.
AFTER 48 HOURS
To help protect your tattoo from the shower spray, apply a thin layer of aveeno. Do not rub vigorously. Pat dry with a fresh towel to avoid any transfer of bacteria. Reapply a thin layer of aveeno. Continue to apply aveeno frequently so your tattoo does not dry out.
IMPORTANT
Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo.
"Do not let your tattoo dry out.
"Aside from showering, do not swim , bathe or hot tub or shaving your tattoo for six to eight weeks.
"Picking and/or scratching will only result in scarring.
"Using a sunscreen when outdoors will prolong the vibrancy of your tattoo colours.
"Avoid tanning.
"If you have any questions or concerns about your tattoo, the healing process or your aftercare, please call us. That s what we re here for!
